Seadrill Ltd. (SDRL) is the highest yielding dividend stock on the Oslo Børs in Norway. The company is also one of the highest yielding stocks trading on the New York Stock Exchange, currently yielding 7.85%. This is certainly a level that most dividend focused investors would be very pleased with! The company has also been growing at a very high rate and so has rewarded more growth-oriented investors. From the days when it was founded in 2005, it has grown to become the largest offshore drilling contractor in the world when measured by market cap. However, the company regularly sees its net income fluctuate considerably, especially when compared to may other dividend stocks and this has led some market commentators to conclude that the company’s dividend may not be sustainable. But, are they right? This exclusive report from internationally-renowned expert on Seadrill, Power Hedge, will answer that question.

Rowan Companies (RDC) is a shallow-water offshore drilling specialist whose move into the deepwater environment could offer opportunities for investors as I discussed in a Seeking Alpha Pro article back in April. As the company has released its first quarter 2013 results and has given a presentation to investors since that time, I thought that it could be a good idea to revist the company and see if my original investment thesis is still valid. This report shows that the investment thesis is still valid and shows how the company can potentially grow its cash flow by $4.00 per share and net income by 280% by 2015.

Rowan Companies (RDC) is an offshore drilling company specializing in the shallow water jack-up market. However, the company has begun making a push into the ultra-deepwater market by ordering four drillships which are currently under construction. These drillships will hopefully allow Rowan to gain a foothold in and participate in the outsize profits which are present in the ultra-deepwater market. Considering the present dynamics in the ultra-deepwater market (which will be discussed later), this move has the potential to be very beneficial to the company and its shareholders.

Earlier this year, I discussed TeliaSonera’s (TLSNF.PK) potential as a dividend investment.  Now that the company has released its fourth quarter and full year results, I wanted to revisit the stock to see if my original thesis still holds true.  In fact, it does.  TeliaSonera achieved record free cash flow in 2012.  This is something that is particularly important when evaluating a dividend stock since the free cash flow is the amount of money that a company has left over after covering all of its costs and making all necessary investments and capital expenditures.  This means that the company has more money than ever before which could be returned to investors.  Even though the company did not increase its dividend this year, this achievement is still a very good thing for investors.

Atwood Oceanics (ATW) has delivered one of the finest growth stories of any offshore drilling company over the past few years. Furthermore, the company looks well-positioned to continue to deliver growth over the next few years, with its three newbuild drillships and one high-specification jack-up due to be delivered between now and 2015. This will give the company one of the youngest ultra-deepwater fleets in the industry and that is an enviable position to be in for reasons which my regular readers are already aware of.  This all points to a company that could deliver superior returns going forward.
